Entry:
Players are automatically entered into the series by participating in any one or more of the scheduled events (see Series Schedule). $2 from each entry into a series tournament will go toward the overall payout. This comes out of club profits, not individuals' pockets.
Payout:
The top 25% points leaders for each division will receive payout. This is based on average field size per division for all events. Example: Rec division has 30, 40, 30, 40, 30 participants for the 5 series events. Average field size = 34 Payout would be for the top 9 points leaders in the rec division.
Points system:
First I will show a hypothetical score card and then explain how it is translated into points.
Name – Score – Rank Points – MOV Points – Total Points
Player A – 108 – 70 – 8 – 78
Player B – 110 – 60 – 6 – 66
Player C – 112 – 50 – 4 – 54
Player D – 114 – 40 – 2 – 42
Player E – 116 – 30 – 0 – 30
Player F – 999 – 0 – 0 – 0
Rank Points: Any player who starts and finishes the current tournament receives 30 points. Then, for each position better they receive 10 additional points. Player A finishes 4 places higher than Player E (999 excluded). Thus, he gets participation 30 points + 40 points for being 4 positions higher.
MOV (Margin-of-Victory) Points: Players receive one point for each stroke they are better than the last placed player (999 excluded). So, Player A shoots 8 strokes better than Player E. Thus, he receives 8 MOV points.
Any player who 999’s gets no points. Quitters never win!
