Hope you’re doing well and that your 2008 is off to a great start.
It’s a little hard to believe that this will be the 17th year of World’s Biggest, and we’re really looking forward to a big WB this year. I’m very pleased to announce that my wife Dee is taking over the reigns at promoter-in-chief of World’s Biggest. Some of you have already had the pleasure of talking to her, and you’re already aware of the tremendous energy she brings to the job. I think you’ll all love working with her. I’ll still be doing the nuts and bolts behind-the-scenes work, while she’ll be the one making sure everyone has everything they need.
The main date for World’s Biggest this year will be May 3rd – 4th. If you need to do a different weekend, you can, but we recommend staying away from Mother’s Day in the U.S. (May 11th). We’re encouraging everyone to make this event a charity fundraiser. Here in Austin, for example, we’ve raised the entry fee to $25, half of which will be split between the Council on At Risk Youth and the Disc Golf Foundation.
We’ve got a great logo this year (attached), and the web site is getting updated every week. This year we’ll be able to list participating cities on the web site, and we’d like to get you up there. Please send us:

We’ll be offering the same 5 great discs this year: the Aviar, Roc, and Valkyrie from Innova, and Orion Long Straight and Orion Long Fade from Millennium (I LOVE those guys). We’ve had some interest in the Omega Supersoft, too – if you’d like to order Supersofts, let us know. We’ll make them if there’s sufficient interest.
We should have confirmation on the disc offerings in a couple weeks. The rest of the merchandise lineup will be about the same as last year. There is one small change in the price of Innova discs, which have gone up a quarter this year. All the other basic prices are the same, and they’re listed below.
This year the order deadline will be April 10th. As usual, you’ll be able to order more the day after the event.
